Juvenile Forensic Assistance for Stabilization and Treatment (JFAST)
THE NEED:
Between 65% and 70% of youth involved with the juvenile justice system have a diagnosable mental health disorder and nearly 30% of those experience severe mental health disorders. (Youth.gov)
PROGRAM SUMMARY:
Lifeline’s Juvenile Forensic Assistance for Stabilization and Treatment (JFAST) program serves youth whose criminal offense was caused by a psychological disorder. JFAST youth receive intensive mental health services and case management in order to address severe psychological issues.
PROGRAM SERVICES:
JFAST provides individual and family therapy as well as case management for youth involved with the juvenile justice system and their families.
WHO WE HELP:
Lifeline’s JFAST program serves youth in San Diego County who have a mental health diagnosis and are on Juvenile Probation.

Last year the JFAST program served 65 youth referred by the Court, Probation, and Public Defenders Office.
